1 - Shortness of Breath: The growing uterus elevates the base of the ribs hence some blood vessels and the heart are displaced upwards. The capacity of the lungs is also reduced causing the shortness of breath.

2 - Heart Burn: The muscle at the top of your stomach that prevents digestive acids from splashing into the esophagus relaxes. This allows those painful as juices to splash back up, thus causing irritation and burning.

3 - Frequency in Urination: The expectant mother will begin to visit the washroom as frequently as it happened in the first trimester. This is also due to the growing baby, causing the uterus to put pressure on the bladder.

4 - Hemorrhoids: These are forms of varicose veins that appear around the back passage (anus). It usually bleeds and feels itchy and/or painful.

5 - Sleeplessnesss: This often the problem during the last week of pregnancy.

1 -  This is the period where frequent sitting and resting is recommended. Walking, climbing of stairs and/or other strenuous activities should be reduced.

2 - Avoid eating spiced, oily or heavy foods it usually causes heartburn. When this situation occurs, sleeping in a propped up position in bed or drinking warm milk before sleeping is highly recommended. Some drugs may be prescribed by your health care provider if it becomes unbearable.

3 - Changing of underwear or using a panty liners will prevent odour and infections.

4 - Eating a high fibre diet helps to prevent constipation and brings relief.

5 - A bath following a warm drink or beverage helps the expectant mother to sleep.
